The AbleGamers Charity knows one the best ways we can forward our mission of making games accessibile to everyone is to include those that have a stake in the fight at the table from the start.
The AbleGamers Fellowship is open to year 3 and 4 undergraduate, and masters degree students majoring in a game development based degree, or computer science with a focus on gaming/media from an accredited collage or university with a passion for Game Accessibility. The fellowship is targeted towards, but not exclusively for, people with disabilities.
The AbleGamers Fellowship is not just a scholarship to help you pay for your degree. You need to give back to the AbleGamers community. You must commit to
- You must show evidence that your final project is game and game accessibility related, and includes a case-study that AbleGamers is able to share with its larger community.
- Maintain an auditable social media presents that is related to your work
- Present Includification at a conference outside of your school
- Stay in contact with the AbleGamers Fellowship Coordinator on a regular basis
Now that you have made the commitment comes the paperwork. Before you get started, you may want to go to the checklist of things you are going to need to go forward. Go to the application page and get started.
